T-Aviation's plans for its future align with the vision that the PDA has for the airport as part of its master plan for the facility. Refueling at Skyhaven is a recently upgraded self service, pay-at-the pump operation. Skyhaven currently has no FBO, unlike the Portsmouth International Airport at Pease, also overseen by the PDA, which has a contract with Port City Air to provide all airport services. In addition, it sees a future role as a fixed base operator (FBO), a term that applies to businesses at an airport contracted to supply fueling, hangaring, tie-down and parking, aircraft rental, aircraft maintenance, flight instruction, and similar services. It also wants to partner with local high schools on STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) and ROTC (Reserve Officers' Training) instruction.

T-Aviation ( /) is taking a phased approach to its development as it looks ahead to tuning its services to the needs of the region.Īccording to Pride, once it establishes its aircraft maintenance business it hopes to expand to include instruction for students interested in airplane mechanics, plus the creation of a flight school. 'I know they've been lacking this kind of service, this kind of capability for a few years now, and we're very happy to now accommodate them.' An active flying club with 80 members and the Civil Air Patrol use Skyhaven and T-Aviation's services. T-Aviation received approval from the PDA board in October to lease a 4,800-square- foot hangar, where it can service up to five fixed wing general aviation airplanes at a time, according to Mark Pride, the business manager who runs the facility with founder Thomas Morgera.
